Effective March 1, 2022, Ascension’s COVID-related pandemic precautions were eased in line with recommendations from the CDC and state authorities.

We are delighted to invite you to join us in person, indoors at Ascension, for Sunday morning worship. If you are not comfortable attending worship inside the church, we continue to offer worship activities online through Facebook and YouTube. If you have any questions or concerns, please discuss with Father Peter Doddema or a member of the Ascension clergy or vestry.

  • Masking indoors is optional for those who are vaccinated.
  • Hand sanitizer and masks are available on request (see an usher).
  • Please observe social distancing as you feel comfortable.
  • Taking temperatures and keeping lists of names for gatherings is no longer necessary.
  • Thorough cleaning routines are in still place throughout the building.

Check out our service and worship schedules HERE.

We are now serving Sunday morning breakfast, starting at 9:00 AM. Holy Eucharist (Holy Communion) service begins at 10:30 AM, followed by a Bible Study class for adults. Children are welcome at all services!

All meetings inside the church (Scouts, AA, etc.) require the advance approval of Father Doddema. Call the church office regarding schedules. Check out the church calendar online at: https://www.ascensionfrankfort.org/calendar

Please remember that COVID is not gone, not everyone has been vaccinated, and vaccinations are not guarantees. We ask everyone to respect and protect those who choose to remain masked and observe social distancing. Everyone can help to protect our most vulnerable congregation, clergy, and staff.

If you do not attend worship inside the church, we invite you to attend worship through our Facebook page. One of the clergy will lead Morning Prayer live on Facebook each Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Alternately, we will offer recorded services online as often as is possible/practical.

ABOUT OFFICE HOURS

Clergy and staff are alternating time in the church building with working from home and 'round about the parish. The parish office is normally closed on Fridays. There may be weekday periods when no one is physically in the building. For safety, church doors remain locked when there is only one person in the building; doorbells are available at the office entrance and kitchen door. Personal meetings and/or access to the building may be requested in advance.

By the magic of cell phones, full-time workday coverage is provided for telephone calls and messages, Monday through Thursday, so please call the church office at 502-223-0557 when you need to reach us. If we don’t answer, please leave a message so we may return your call promptly. For pastoral emergencies, an alternate number is provided on the office phone recording. Please note: the office phone is NOT attended or answered during Sunday morning services.
