Dear Ascension Family,

Thank you for your prayers and concern as I recovered from Covid. I am now symptom free and out of quarantine. Covid is now a part of our reality and not something that will go away. Ascension is blessed with a wealth of parishioners whose training and experience make them ideal for keeping us safe. We have nurses, doctors and an emergency management specialist advising me and helping us keep our parish as safe as possible. Please keep us all in your prayers as we continue to listen and lead our congregation. I am back in the office and plan to lead worship in person this week (June 8 and 12). If you have questions, etc. please don't hesitate to contact me.

With Joy,
Peter+

Dear Ascension Family,

Today (Thursday, May 26), I tested positive for COVID-19. I learned on Monday that on Saturday, May 21, I was exposed to the virus. If I had known, I would not have led worship on Sunday. My sincere apologies. I did cancel the Wednesday service (yesterday). At this point I feel fine: just some minor aches and congestion. I will be quarantining for the next few days. Please monitor your own health, especially if you attended class or church with me last weekend (May 21-22). My apologies for unknowingly exposing you to this. Please keep our parish family in your prayers. We are staying healthy overall, but COVID is still a reality.

For more information about COVID-19, see www.kycovid19.ky.gov or speak to your own health care provider.

The worship service and morning activities scheduled for Sunday, May 29, will be held as usual.

Sincerely,
Peter+
