“Stewardship is falling in Love with God.  It is the Abundant Life acted out hundreds of
times every week by each Christian and each congregation.  This is to say our attitude leads
us to engage the world, our neighbors, and our weaker side with the joy and possibilities of
a new way of being and doing.”

Last Friday’s Renewal of Ministry service was a powerful testament to our shared love and devotion to God, each other, and our greater community.  This love and devotion is abundant in our church and was shown in many ways to make this such a special gathering of all ages and backgrounds who participated, with people traveling from far and wide in the diocese and the greater Church.  Most importantly it was a profound sign of our being a part of the greater Body of Christ.

As a new year approaches, let us embrace God’s steadfast love as we engage each other and our community in fellowship and thanksgiving for all we are and all we have to give.  Enclosed you will find the stewardship package for 2012.  Please take time for prayerful reflection in deciding how much of an increase you will be pledging this coming year and what Ascension and all our forms of Worship mean to you and your families and our community.

We hope everyone will be present on Stewardship Commitment Sunday, November 27, to celebrate God’s love at Ascension. Thank you for your gifts that are truly a reflection of your love of God and commitment to your spiritual journey.

 How to help our counters.........
Ascension has a hard working committee of money counters who meet for their work after worship each Sunday.  Please help them by making designations very specific on the memo lines of checks.  Our volunteers want to do excellent work, and all the help we can give them will also shorten the time they spend on our behalf.  Many thanks for your help.
